The ideal incumbent would be an expert in providing a moving and relocation service. He would have some prior experience. The moving opportunity is ideal for candidates who are fresh and do not have prior work experience. The successful candidates will receive training for packaging, handling and efficient space management. As a rough estimate, the desirable traits are having a feasible understanding of the calculation for the size of the vehicle to be used. He will have a good understanding of how to fit things in the truck, that without damaging them.

 

•   The mover will be responsible for moving the furniture from one location to the next.

•    He will assist the client in moving and place the things at their appropriate place.

•    They will help arrange the bigger items into the storage place or unit.

•    He will maintain an inventory of the items for long distance and make sure to load and unload the units.

•    The mover will also be responsible for cleaning up the location and ensuring the delivery of the items.

 

The ideal candidate will spend more time riding and driving transportation vehicles. We handle pianos and they are heavier than 850lbs. The candidate will be proficient in utilizing the tools that are needed. It is paramount that they avoid any injuries and scratching the item. The candidate will be available during business hours, which is from 9am-5pm. Standard education is not compulsory for the mover. But, he must have solid communication skills, which include verbal and non-verbal. The prime requirement for this job is to be physically fit to perform the task. It is a possibility that the mover will start as a helper during the summer season. The experienced movers who have years of relevant experience may handle tasks that involve offices and installations. This can well be a specialized field for expert movers.

Job Brief

We are looking for a skilled Manager in creating consistent systems and managing people to exceed client expectations. Pete’s Ultimate Movers, LLC is a high demand business, needs leadership that is motivated to help us scale to meet demand while maintaining the Pete’s Ultimate Movers brand standards. Core Responsibilities

This role will perform the following functions on a regular basis:

  • Operations- Organize the schedules of moving crews and equipment. Manage the amount of resources available to ensure a balance of redundancy and utilization. Responsibilities include workplace safety, injury prevention and overall field performance. Providing a high-quality, efficient, and effective moving service.
  • Sales & Customer Service- Manages the client services team and ensures that the quantity and quality of jobs are in line with the company's mission, values, and objectives. Increase brand awareness. Manage the workflow, schedule and outcomes of the client services team including client satisfaction. Negotiating pricing with third parties to ensure profitability and competitiveness.
  • Organizational Development- Create new processes and systems, find new opportunities to better serve our customers and team, support company-wide goals and plans, function as a contributing member of the management team and support person for the CEO, present quarterly on departmental progress and KPIs.
  • Management & HR- Hires, coaches, reviews, supervises or terminates assigned employees, or makes suggestions and recommendations that are given particular weight regarding the employment status of assigned employees. Responsible for employee engagement, staff goal alignment with organizational goals, on boarding & training, and retention. Train all employees on all processes, procedures, customer service, and safety. Other responsibilities include relocation and move management.
  • Administrative Support- Assisting sales, operations, staff members, agents, third parties, and the moving consumer. Work alongside other internal departments to arrange removal sales visits. Serving as a point of contact and assistance for clients as they prepare for their move. Track performance and adjust larger marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Culture Leadership- Support company-wide and team enhancing events, celebrations, display of successes, victories and overall company fun.
     
  • Equipment- On a regular basis, the trucks, tools, and materials required to accomplish movements should be properly maintained, examined, and cleaned. Inventory should be taken of all equipment and tools to make sure
  • there is enough in stock to complete various tasks. The company trucks should be inspected twice a year in order to ensure the safety of workers and the customer’s belongings, as well as be able to meet the standards.

  • Day-to-Day/General Responsibilities- Scheduling workload of moving crew, preparation and review of time sheets to break out time spent on each move. Coordinate special events and managing existing and future client removals and removal bookings. Contribute to the overall benefit of Pete’s Ultimate Movers, LLC by
  • participating in meetings, office hours, team projects, corporate recruiting/orientation/training and aiding other businesses when necessary. Honor all deadlines and action plans. Foster long-term business growth and development.

Skills/Abilities:

  • A qualified candidate for this role will exhibit the following:

  • 3-5 years of previous experience as an Area Manager in the Moving industry. A proven integrator with the ability to improve the consistency, trainability, reproducibility, and reliability of existing activities, systems, and processes.
  • Experience in leadership roles where assertive people management skills and proactive delegation capabilities were utilized.
  • Proven history of a personal improvement focus with an always learning mentality, bringing outside knowledge into the organization on a regular basis.
  • A positive attitude toward work and initiatives that is driven, passionate, and upbeat.
  • Ability to work in a team setting towards a common goal. Can lift 70+ lbs consistently, without issue for being initiative to jump in the back of truck if company comes down to a no call no show workers/movers.
  • In-depth understanding of a variety of business tasks and principles, such as customer service, customer relationship management, and solution provision etc.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, including phone and in-person interactions.
  • Thorough knowledge of the company and its products and processes.
  • Knowledge of Petes Ultimate Movers rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of DOT and DOD regulations.
  • Analytical aptitude for analyzing data and performance/operational metrics.
  • Well versed with moving claim decrease to below of moving claims average and can challenge credit cards to a proper matter to win.
  • Excellent inter-personal and negotiating skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership characteristics.
  • Superior time management abilities. A realistic, proactive individual that does not leave things to the last minute.
  • Ability to grow a management and sales team.
  • An effective multi-tasker with a friendly and personable manner.
  • Can go do In-Home estimate or visual moving estimate.
  • Organizational and Computer expertise.
  • Exceptional decision-making capacities.

  • Help to train new hires about the day to day operations and core values.
  • Complete Daily Checklists.
  • Prevent careless and costly mistakes, including damage, injury, unhappy clients, lost equipment, etc.
  • Check in regularly throughout the day with direct supervisor for additional assignments and troubleshooting guidance

  • MUST be eligible to work in the United States.
  • MUST have reliable transportation to work.
  • MUST be able to lift up to 75 pounds for an extended period of time.
